Print Collateral Projects

KraftMaid Kitchen Design Brochure

The project involved compiling a large quantity of photography and art from the client’s asset management system, and close coordination with writer and client to assemble the content into the required page count while following brand standards. This is the second version of this piece; the client’s primary agency overhauled the graphic standards, and we […]

CAR Research Reports

I assisted the Center for Automotive Research (CAR) with numerous materials to support their work, including preparation of research reports for publication. The PALE project was a 96-page report documenting labor force changes, and included a full-color cover and two-color interior design, as well as procurement of interior photography and conversion of rudimentary Excel data […]

Motawi Tileworks Catalog, Ed. 1

This first edition tile catalog featured Motawi’s full line of tile product for both consumers and designers. As in the matching Gift Tile catalog, I used framing and decorative elements and background colors and textures consistent with the Arts & Crafts aesthetic used in many of the tile designs. This catalog design won a Silver […]

7-11 CD Art

Charles Demuth’s 1928 painting “I Saw the Figure 5 in Gold” inspired this artwork for the University of Michigan Jazz Ensemble’s “Seven Eleven” CD. I created the illustration largely in Adobe Illustrator, with a final Photoshop touchup, and adapted a version for the two-color CD imprint.

Motawi Tileworks Catalog 3rd Ed.

In contrast to the earlier catalog versions, this edition displayed the tile in a cleaner, more open layout without any framing elements. As the company’s tile designs evolved further from the Arts & Crafts aesthetic, this seemed more appropriate for some of the modernist designs they were bringing into circulation.

Motawi Tileworks Postcards

This postcard series grew out of the numerous catalog projects I designed for the Tileworks. These direct mail pieces were designed to inspire and entice interior designers and architects to recommend gorgeous tile installations for their clients’ homes.

MSL Study Results Summaries

Survey Sciences Group performed a series of student leadership surveys for a large group of U.S. colleges and universities. Each client received a full report of their students’ responses, and comparisons with national responses. The results data was presented in tabular form, with complex formatting and graphics to indicate strength of effects, statistical significance and […]

Daycroft Montessori Marketing

Playing off the key slogan of the school promotional campaign (“There are only two lasting gifts we can give our children. One is roots, the other is wings.”) I designed this folder with a unique and memorable feather closure. It was printed on a heavy deckle-edged stock. The folder included interior capacity for an eight-page […]

Sentry Radar Brochure

Veridian (formerly Ann Arbor’s ERIM) needed this brochure to promote their Sentry remote sensing system. Each spread covers aspects of the technology and discusses potential applications. Although the systems produce interesting images, significant retouching was necessary to stitch them together into coherent illustrations or correct flaws. I art-directed photo shoots for the main cover hardware […]

API Capabilities Brochure

Advanced Photonics requested this marketing brochure to highlight the diverse services they offered the communications industry, and their end-to-end manufacturing expertise.
