This was a quick site refresh of this tooling company’s site, to create a more modern, responsive layout and add better photography. I designed the layouts and made a plant visit to shoot some images of their products to use as decorative elements and examples of the firm’s processes and techniques.
SkyManager is a software as a service platform developed for aviation schools to schedule aircraft and manage their day-to-day operations. This project involved site design and a simple template system, which the client took over and filled out with site content and images.
Veridian (formerly Ann Arbor’s ERIM) needed this brochure to promote their Sentry remote sensing system. Each spread covers aspects of the technology and discusses potential applications. Although the systems produce interesting images, significant retouching was necessary to stitch them together into coherent illustrations or correct flaws. I art-directed photo shoots for the main cover hardware […]
Renewable Packaging makes reusable transportation fixtures for (primarily) the auto industry. They requested a logo and brochure that focused on the environmental benefits of their systems, which are robust enough to survive shipping and getting beaten about in the factory.
Renewable Packaging makes reusable transportation fixtures for (primarily) the auto industry. They requested a logo and brochure that focused on the environmental benefits of their systems, which are robust enough to survive shipping and getting beaten about in the factory. I created this brochure which features examples of their engineered transport solutions, which I photographed […]
The client wanted to propose their sophisticated suite of remote sensing systems to the Thai government. This larger poster was sent to decision-makers in the various agencies that they hoped would benefit. The text and images explain the multiple sensor and imaging options available, and outline their many potential uses. Challenges included a disparate group […]
This site for the well-regarded regional construction company has gone through multiple iterations over the years, but it’s retained its clean and open minimalist look that let’s the company’s projects shine. In addition to the design and development work, I’ve shot photos for approximately 20 of the projects featured on the site, and assisted with […]
Survey Sciences Group performed a series of student leadership surveys for a large group of U.S. colleges and universities. Each client received a full report of their students’ responses, and comparisons with national responses. The results data was presented in tabular form, with complex formatting and graphics to indicate strength of effects, statistical significance and […]
This postcard series grew out of the numerous catalog projects I designed for the Tileworks. These direct mail pieces were designed to inspire and entice interior designers and architects to recommend gorgeous tile installations for their clients’ homes.
This first edition tile catalog featured Motawi’s full line of tile product for both consumers and designers. As in the matching Gift Tile catalog, I used framing and decorative elements and background colors and textures consistent with the Arts & Crafts aesthetic used in many of the tile designs. This catalog design won a Silver […]
In contrast to the earlier catalog versions, this edition displayed the tile in a cleaner, more open layout without any framing elements. As the company’s tile designs evolved further from the Arts & Crafts aesthetic, this seemed more appropriate for some of the modernist designs they were bringing into circulation.
The project involved compiling a large quantity of photography and art from the client’s asset management system, and close coordination with writer and client to assemble the content into the required page count while following brand standards. This is the second version of this piece; the client’s primary agency overhauled the graphic standards, and we […]
The primary deliverables on this project included a concert poster, program cover, postcards and a banner hung as a TV set backdrop. For these pieces I executed two custom oil paintings, of a string bass scroll and a portrait of Bassist Ray Brown. The bass image with added text (in Photoshop) was featured on the […]
HiBlow specializes in aeration pumps for medical, industrial, aquaculture and wastewater applications. The site design allows for a clear and clean display of important product specifications for all HiBlow’s pump models. Additional details and product download links are hidden in expanding sections to avoid showing extra clutter.
Veridian (formerly ERIM) sought to promote their Willow-Run based flight test center to more fully utilize their fleet of research aircraft. The marketing brochure focused on the unique capabilities of the aircraft and engineering resources provided for research and testing of aerial remote sensing technology. I also assisted the client in editing and translating the […]
